When I got my tongue piercing, my piercer who was very experience said that I should have limited dairy products and citrus.

I just got my tongue pierced a week ago and my piercer said nothing about dairy products. She did however tell me to stay away from spicy foods and alcohol. There is one drawback that I found out for myself though...Cheese leaves a coating on your tongue and with a fresh piercing it's hard to brush it off. Other than looking slightly odd there isn't any danger that I know of clean it properly.

I had just got my tongue pierced about 4 hours ago and my piercer told me nothing about have dairy products!! All she said was to stay away from hot or spicy foods during the healing process. She told me to eat small soft amounts of food like mashed bananas, mashed potatoes, cereal, cold soup, applesauce or rice. Once again nothing about dairy products!!

Well I got my tounge pierced yesterday and I was wondering if I could eat Flamen Hot Cheetos. Because they are not spicy to me so I thought I would ask.

My piercer said that it was bad to eat dairy after I got my tounge pierced...he said to avoid it, it has yeast and is bad for the piercing.

Why is it bad to use Listerine? My piercer said to dilute it, half with water, and it's a perfect cleaning solution.

i recently got mi tongue peirced well on the 29th..ryte now its the 31...diary doesn't help, nor hurt it...all it does is slow down the healing...if any 1 else has any other questions u can email me or add me to msn n i will b glad to help if i can.... rubba_band_man@hotmail.com

Help me! I just got my tongue peirced and I heard a rumar that dairy will make your tongue turn green afterwards, and it is! Could this rumar be true?

No yogurt, since it carries bacteria that isn't good for this type of piercing. Try not to eat highly acidic foods, no spicy foods or hot foods either. Ice cream and milk are ok, limit them and rinse right after each.

my piercer told me absolutely no dairy products for 2 weeks..he says it can cause an infection but i do know of other piercers who say that you can eat dairy products..i don't know what to believe

I heard you weren't allowed to eat dairy after you got a tongue piercing, but I could eat it with my lip piercing so...what's the difference with that?

when i got my tongue pierced i was told to stay away from dairy and when a co-worker of mine git hers done the piercer didn't giver her any limitations. by the third day her tongue was still swollen to the point where she couldn't talk and she said all she'd been eating was ice cream. ironic ? i think not, i believe that u shouldn't eat or drink dairy products for the first couple weeks after getting a tongue piercing.

When I got mine periced, he said to not eat dairy products, because there's some kind of bacteria in it. Or something like that.
