I have a 1997 Jetta Trek and it idles poorly.  It goes up and down between 1000 and 800 rpm.  Also when I accelerate it hesitates then acts normally.  When the car is cold it idles fine and performs properly, but after a couple minutes running the problems begin.  I have changed the spark plugs, air filter, checked plugs, ran a whole bunch of tanks with fuel injector cleaner and even put in a different ECU and mass air flow sensor.  All hoses are tight on and around the air box.  If anyone can help and are in the Calgary area in Canada I'll buy them a beer.  Thanks a lot
