is istikarah for marriage guidance only. can it be done for guidance in other matters eg: moving house, buying a property or travelling

my lesbian friend is starting to see other ladies. she has been going behind my back witch i find rather disrupting. i love her a lot and have been seeing her for about  3 and a half years. we were even talking about marriage and having a baby. we already have a house together and both families aggre. could u plz help?????????????????? xoxo
