We have a Cairn/Westie mix male puppy, neutered, 7 months old.  This little guy is very active, eats and sleeps well, love to play endlessly but he has a tendency to vomit.  Sometimes it's food and other times just frothy stuff.  He doesn't seem sick and it doesn't seem to bother him at all.  He does eat everything he can find in the back yard including sticks and bugs.  Is the vomiting common?  Should I be worried?

I'm not much of an expert but I know the two breed are very prone to allergies and sensitive skin.  Petco carries ' Van Patten's' brand dog food.  Consult a vet, but try this.  Jo

I also have a mix, cairn/westie, he is almost 6mos old.  He does the same thing, usually after his shots from the vet.  I've had him checked out and he is fine.  I now give him Neutro Natural and he seems to do better with that.  He also eats anything he can find in the back yard! ! !   He is an excellent puppy! !

my westie loves to eat sticks but then he throws up. we have to pick up all the sticks in the yard weekly to stop this from happening..
