Hi Brandydog,

Can you be a little more specific?  What exactly is happening?  How much hair is coming out?  Are there spots where skin is exposed?  If so, are there any sores or irritations?

If so, a call to the vet is definitely in order.

There is a type of mange that James Herriot describes in his book The Lord God Made Them All.  In case you don't know, James Herriot was a veternarian in the 1930's in England and wrote several wonderful books.  In an episode of the book, a dog he called Amber suffered from - and I know I am spelling this wrong - dermadactic(??) mange.  The mange started in the face until the dog became totally bald and was covered with scabs.  Then there was no treatment, but he stated that now there is.  You might want to look this book up.
