I have a 14 year old rat terrier and she hasn't been eating her dog food for close to a month, she'll only eat people food.  She used to be slightly overweight, and now she is unhealthy skinny.  We can't afford to take her to the vet and we really don't want to put her down.  I was wondering if anyone would be able to offer up any advice on this topic.

- - We recently got a kitten and it doesn't appear that the two get along very well.  I have a feeling that the cat has been eating out of our dog's bowl and now Daisy (our dog) doesn't like it - could this be part of the problem?

Any response would be of great help.  THANKS.
