Why and how can I get rid of a skin disease that my cocker spaniel has had off and on for several years?  I have placed her on a special diet but this does not seem to help.

well,I dont really know, but maybe you should try mayo it gets rid of acne,and others,and makes skin softer, I recommend you research, or test on little portion of the skin.
