Her name is Kathy Baker. She lives in La Verne California with her husband and 2 children. She was nineteen years old when she worked as a regular extra on the show. The title shot was shot at Twentieth Century Fox ranch in 1972. Gene Reynolds was the producer. He could not pick 6 girls so he had them race. Kathy came in first so she was placed there during the shooting for the Title Shot. Kathy was paid 40 dollars extra that day. She was in the National Enquirer several years ago with her first born child. She is starting her own business which deals with technolgy. I know all this to be true because I am in fact that girl that ran in the beginning of Mash.

I was trying to find who the nurse is in the beginning scenes; the one with the short dark hair running in front of everyone toward the chopper. I thought I read somewhere that she was a cast members wife. Thank you. ns
