How can i make several 8051's communicate serially so as to arrange an independent LAN array?

you can use multiprocessor serial communication to impliment a independent network 8051. but it should not be compatable with IEEE standards. if you want to implement a IEEE standard you have to implement the whole TCP/IP stack on your 8051.
