I was wondering how you can tell  how old a red-eared turtle is,also how can you tell if it is female or male?

I read on this website that you have to fart on the turtles face. If it gets high its about 1-5 yrs old. If it dies it means it was really old.

all you have to do to find out if it's a female or male is make out with one to see if it has babies

you tell how old your turtle is by counting all of the trapezoids on its shell

Well to tell if its a female or male, the claws are long for a male, and his under shell is shaped like a spoon, his tail is further from his shell.
For a female, the nails are shorter, the under shell is straight and her tail is stuck to the shell

If its bottom is curved inward its a boy, if its curved outward then its a girl.

ur wrong!!!!!!!!! Turtles grow out of their shells. Then they simply go to a new, bigger shells. DUH!!!!!

and you can tell a male from a female because the females belly puffs out a little and a males is caved in
