Tat B Gone got rid of my tattoo and got me a promotion. Had a celtic cross on my hand that I thought was holding me back. Took almost 8 months but the cross is gone and I made manager. Yes I recommend.

I feel like I have to take the time to warn everyone about Dermasal. I had first heard of the product through a friend. But when I went to the Dermasal-Selmedica web site to place my order, I noticed dermasal described as a Salt Abrasion Complex.

Well I started doing some research and found out a salt abrasion complex is no more than a skin peel! No wonder they said to use less often if you get irritation.

HOW MANY LAYERS OF SKIN DO YOU HAVE TO PAINFULLY PEEL AWAY TO REMOVE THE TATTOO?

Also, the company that owns Dermasal is known for its BAD business practices. I found this link posted already from the Better Business Bureau:

http://www.midsouth.bbb.org/commonreport.html?compid=1200382

If you are counting on their guarantee, you may want to check it out.

My experience with Tat B Gone has been great, Rhonda.

Just keep using tat B Gone and it works. I was a little sad after using it for 2 weeks and not seeing any change. But then all of a sudden I noticed it was a little lighter. It takes a little time, but it sure is working for me.

When I was young and stupid I got my boyfriend's names tattooed on the small of my back. My new fiancé totally HATES it, so he bought me Tat B Gone. It is working! I am on my 6th month, and it is hardly noticeable now.

I really have to thank my boyfriend for finding this product. Plus, I think that they are a good company. Even after I got TBG they always answered my emails and questions.

I know how it is to badly want to get rid of a tattoo, so i wish you luck!

Bishop are you the sales manager or just the copy writer for Dermasal and selmedica.com? To think you almost had me. When I went to your web site to buy (I really want to get rid of my Celtic) I happened to go find my way to selmedica.com

And what a range of hokey products you sell (How do you live with yourselves):

1 Breast Enlargement pill - yeah ah -hah

2 Penis Enlargement pill-yeah ah -hah

3 Penis Stiffener pill- yeah ah -hah

4 All natural Get Pregnant Now pill - yeah ah -hah

5 The best a pill for vaginal odor - I am still laughing

After finding this out I went back to the Dermasal site and looked hard. It was then I figured out you were selling SALT AND WATER. You want us to believe rubbing salt on a Tattoo will make it go away. Researching salt abrasion I found out it is recommended for Acne. What do acne and tattoo removal have in common?

But what really got me and made me take the time to write this is when I found your posting on the internet. Writing ads and posting them like they are from customers.

HOW STUPID DO YOU THINK WE ARE? YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED!

I guess this is more of a question rather than an answer... I am very interested in getting my tattoo removed... and right now laser removal is just too expensive.  I am writing because I never heard of removing a tattoo by this lotion stuff... and I was looking around and came across that tatbgone and dermasal stuff and althought it may be cheaper than laser.. its not cheap itself...  so would u recommend tatbgone or dermasal? and do u know of any other way to purchase these products other then by internet?  Like is there a store that I could find these products in?  Also, since the websites only show pictures of the tattoo after 6 months were some of them are not fully gone yet... do you just continue using the product until they are completely gone?  Also, has anyone had any problems with tat b gone? Also what is the active ingredient in tat b gone?  Thank you very much.. sorry that my one question turned into like 5... but thanks

i recently bought dermasl and in 2 weeks am noticing fading, i also am having my tatto "dry inked" out and using dermasal after it.if you want to remove a tatto try to reverse the process...it's like getting a tattoo, only instead of ink use peroxide and then salt water or dermasal.that tattoo will come off quicker then creams and less painful then laser and even less scarring!i have 18 tattoos and will spend the money to get these horrible mistakes off my body!!!

kristen, I do not know how your skin keeps from getting red and inflamed with Dermasal. I mean that stuff really tore my skin apart. It is some kind of oily salt rub that just caused my skin to bleed.
After my bad luck with dermasal - and I did NOT get my money back - I tried Tattoo-OFF. They say it is for sensitive skin. I am not sure what that means but it does not rip my skin apart, and I do see some fading.

I have had 3 Lazer treatments at $600 a pop.
Even though there has been a noticable amount of fading, it was very painful. I actually had blisters the size of grapes hanging off of my arm.  I believe I'm going to try "Tat B Gone", it has very positive ratings.  Check out the Tattoo Removal Institute web site, they did there own trial tests and list it as the number one product along with "Tattoo Off" listed as the number two product only because it was gentler on the skin and it took a little longer for desired results.
Anyone know about the surrounding skin, I have letters and I am wondering how to apply the creams.  Thanks

I haven't tried Dermasal but I do research in finding people and on their front page there is a statement from a Richard Healm In Felt, Idaho that says he has used it and it has worked. Well after doing some research there is no such person. This alone turned me off from using this product. I just purchased Tat B Gone and unlike all these othet people I will report my results in a couple of months.

Don't use tatbgone! It does not work. I have had 16 lasertreatments, but was still left with a couple of ugly tattoos. ( they where only lighter) Then i used tatbgone for 5 month. It did not do what they promised on their website. The photo's are totally fake, if you ask me...
Well, today i visited my doctor, and hydroquinone can damage your health badly!! They don't sell stuff here with hydroquinone, it's forbidden here, because it can cause cancer!!!!! Please don't use it! I was stupid enough to try it, because i was desperate.( not so smart to use something first and then going to a doctor..) I went to the docter this late, because i had no money to buy more of this stuff and i wanted a prescription for hydroquinonecreme, so i found out that it's harmful.
I got a free sample of Thiospot. That does the same as hydroquinone, but cannot harm you the pharmacist told me.
Tatbgone only wants to use your desperateness to get rich!!( that's my opinion)
The pharmacist said that hydroquinone probably only works for other skinproblems like hyper pigmented skin spots. It works on melanin in your skin, and if you stop using it, it can come back too. If it has any influence at tattoo-ink at all, nobody knows..
I will try thiospot. Maybe it will work.

Hello All

I recently got a tattoo about 6 weeks ago. The guy sucked. I will probably keep some of the wording which is seperate from the art work. The Art work needs to go. It is straight blue no color. I am hoping this will fade quicker. It seems like Tat B Gone realy works. Where can I find it this product and how much should I budget for(UG?

Thanks Ladies and Gents:)

Hey everyone,

I am probably one of the most sceptical people when it comes to buying things over the net but I have this tattoo on my arm and being a girl and not 19 anymore it is really getting me down.  I feel like a biker!  eek! I cant afford laser treatment so my only option is Tatbgone.  I have placed my order and am waiting for it to be delivered.  I promise you all, because I understand what is is like to get down about it, its terrible.  I will let you guys know what the results are whether they are positive or negative.  I will keep you all posted.  I also have a digital camera and am more than happy to email through my pics but give me a few weeks to get going.

I feel like the weight has been lifted off my shoulders knowing that there could be a solution to my drab, long sleeve wearing life!

Take care and I will keep in touch!

I had lazer treatments for eight years and spent about thirty five hindred dollars and it faded some but it was still very much there. Talk about pain it was like someone was flicking hot rubber bands on my leg.I have been using tat gone ink and it really works no kidding.it's still there but it's almost gone.it's like getting a tattoo but it lifts the color up peals and then fades.I have had three or four treatments and probably have about two more to go.

I went in for the laser treatment once and realized it was painful, was going to take a long time, and cost a lot. I measured my tattoo before and after. They charged me an extra inch worth because my tattoo was peeking over another inch. So after that I purchased the dermasal and started using that. The results are slow- but I had measured it in the beginning I kept up with the measurements and my tattoo has shrunk in size 9 cm. I wouldn't have noticed that if I had not measured it. So use some tracing paper and go by those results- the eye is deceiving. Especially when you want results right now.

Hey... I am in the military and I got 7 tattoos when I was younger.  I have been reading these posts and I am very skeptical.  I need to remove the tattoo on my neck since I am getting ready to get out and I want to find a good job when I get out of the military.  Also, I have two on each shoulder blade which I cannot stand looking at and an arm band that DOESN'T look feminine.  I am very skeptical and I really don't want to loose time and money if laser would be better than these lotions.  I need honesty in helping me make a good decision on the long run.  Thank you.

I just got a tattoo on my back it is HUGE, i loved it and then the artist said you love it now, sit back down i am going to do some shading, well i thought that meant like a shadow, so I let him continue cause he said it would look awsome.  I cried when he handed me the mirror, what the hell did he do to me.  Know I have a huge ugly tattoo in the middle of my back with a dark grey BORDER around it.  How long must you wait to start using tatbgone I just purchased some.  The border is not as deep as the tattoo itself and I only want to remove the "shadin" is this possible??

I have a tattoo I want removed too. Has it ever occured to you guys though that the tattoo removal institute seems awfully.....fake. There is almost no information on their. Hardly enough to qualify it as any kind of an institute. They clearly recommend the creams and though they're from competing companies..that's what makes it smart. If me and one other company in the world sold product 'A' and I created an 'independent website' touting the benefits of product 'A' regardless of brand. Don't you think that would bring in more business for me than if I focused only on competing? It's sneaky, but if it's a scam..scammers are just that..sneaky.

On January 13, 2005, BBB representatives met with Jason Burkle, General Manager of Selmedica to discuss the complaints and Selmedica's relationship to the other companies.

At the company’s request, the BBB resent copies of 59 unanswered complaints dating back to October 2002. The company responded to the unanswered complaints and the BBB has determined that some consumers were satisfied with the resolution. I'm a tattooist, and I've been asked about this dermasal 'lotion'. Personally, I think that no product like this (which is basically a chemical peel) should be used without consulting a really good dermatologist.
There is no assurance that it will completely remove the tattoo- the only person I know who's used it didn't exactly get the desired result. More like chemical burns.
If you really want a tattoo removed, get it done properly by an expert- it's not really worth the risk.
Of course, this is why I never tattoo someone on the same day they come in and ask about tats. I prefer to know that they have thought long and hard about getting a permanent form of body art.

I'd like to know if there is any difference in results with hispanic skin than with lighter skin tones.  Is tattoo off better or tatbgone better?  Which is gentler? Or is there even a difference?

I've just had my first and last Tat Gone Ink under the Brand name e-raze. Fantastic results, as the artist was putting the neutral ink in the 25 year old ink was seeping out, all this before the healing process has started..fantastic results..I had Lazer for 5 years and all it did was fade and hurt like crazy, I used Tat B Gone and it was rubbish, expensive nonsense...take my work go for Tat Gone Ink, make sure you find a tattoo artist who specialises in its use as well.....good luck I'm very happy...BM in the UK..

Hi guys, after reading all your questions and answers, I still don't feel confident that these tattoo creams work! Can anyone out there, who has had personal experience with these creams, please lay it on the line for everyone and explain, in detail, their story of success or failure with these creams? Thanks.

I brought Dermasal to get rid of a tattoo on the back of my neck.  I used Dermasal for 2 weeks and have not seen any changes and in turn became very ill.  I came up with the conclusion that I am allergic ingredients in the product. I wrote them a complaint letter and we'll see what happens... Also I will post what they say the ingredients are for future reference.

I bought TCA, which is a deep chemical peel. It hurt, not as bad as getting the tat for a couple days. Skin flaked off in scabs and took the top layer of skin off. But I have 3 cover ups in that one area. Stupid teenage thing. I am on my 3rd use and it has not scarred me at all. Of course I have to wait 3 weeks in between treatments, but I have an 8 x 12 area of my back covered. My boyfriend is pretty pleased. He did not want me to be scarred and offered to pay for the laser, but it was like 3500 dollars total. Doctor said if I did the TCA a couple times and lightened it up, then to come back and he would be able to reduce the price.  So, wish me luck! And good luck to all of you.

I have been using tatbgone for about 21/2months.  I see some fadage in my lighter colors, and some fuzziness in the black.  I think that it'll take a long time to get rid of my tats, but this is worth a try.  I am very hopeful because i don't want to do laser.  I am worried about scarring.  If anyone out there has used tatbgone, please leave honest feedback about your results.  Thanks!!!

I used tat b gone for two years with no results and wasted over $500.  When I called the company to complain and ask for my money back a man thier names Bob was so rude, he refused to give me money back, and actually hung up on me!  I have filed with the BBB.

I HAD A TATOO DONE A FEW YEARS BACK. AND NOW I REGRET IT. I WOULD REALLY LIKE TO HAVE THIS MISTAKE ERASED OFF MY ARM. I WENT AND HAD A CONSULTATION DONE BUT MY TREATMENTS ARE GOING TO BE 400 DOLLARS PER SESSION 4 TO 8. ITS VERY EXPENSIVE I WOULD TO HAVE IT REMOVED WITHOUT GOING BROKE. EVERYWHERE I GO ITS THE SAME THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS. MY TATOO IS BIG BUT I WOULD LIKE AN INEXPENSIVE WAY TO GET RID OF IT.

I have a question? I have had 13 laser treatments and yes extremely painfull and very costly and not to mention well over a year so far. Results are great with blue black and green ink colors I will say, but will tatoo off work on yellow or what is left after all these laser treatments? what product out there is the best for this circumstance of me already going through this. And wishing for results??

I am looking at Tat B Gone today, wondering whats the ingredients, see no money back guarantee, wonder if it works on homemade tatoos, wondering many things. I hope its not some hoax. All of these posts are from 2003-2004, nothing recent. Whats up with that?

I have a small tattoo of what I thought was a K in Chinese writting...come to find out Chinese writings don't have single letters, only whole words...I want it removed immediately but can't afford laser surgery which really doesn't work, or the tat b gone...is there anything else like an at home remedy I could try...I'm desperate!

Never use tatbgone. The company is a hoax, the pics are faked, the testimonials made up.  Tattoo-off is by the same company.  Even the comments about it on here are all encouraging you to invest in several months worth of the product, and all say about the same thing.

Hello everyone. Like all of you, I want my tattoo removed. On 2005 I had my first (of five or six) laser treatment, and I want to share my experience with you. First of all, laser is not that painful, but the price is!. $450 USD per treatment!. I just had one treatment because it is a really expensive procedure, but the doctors explained to me many things that I wouldn't imagine. Let's say you buy tatbgone. The results depends on the way your body cleanses the ink. Supposedly, tatbgone works as a laser, breaking down the ink particles, but your body is the one that REMOVES the ink in your skin. If you want to increase your chances of having your tattoo removed, by laser or fading creams, try to clean your lymphatic system while you're on your treatment. How do you do this?. Well, drink tons of water, take 1 vitamin C tablet daily, eat a lot of beets, do some exercise in order to sweat (you can use a sauna, but it's much better to sweat by exercise), brush gently all of your skin with a natural fiber brush just before you shower. Brushing your skin improves your circulation, and it helps the body to get rid of the waste faster and better. So, whether you're trying laser, or fading creams, help your body to get rid of the ink quickly. I did this with my laser treatment and it does help a lot!. I'm getting Tatgone to use it while I save some money for the laser. Maybe I don't need to have laser treatments anymore! (hopefully), but the good thing about using tatbgone, is that if you still want to have your tattoo removed with laser, you can alternate both treatments.
