I have an Acorn Pocket Book II which I understand is the same as a Psion 3.  One of the hinges has broken and I fear the machine will not physically last much longer!  I don't have any hardware but wonder if it's possible to buy the necessary to allow me to download the data on the Pocket Book to my Windows ME PC?
Any info would be much appreciated.

Don't know if you've found a solution, but the only way is buying a 3Link, a Psion 3a comm cabble

If you have not already got one you will need the series 3 Link (original one as used on the series 3 and 3a) the software and link are often sold on ebay for less than £6, Once you have downloaded the data it might be worth trying to sell your pocket book on ebay as even one with broken hinge will attract bids and perhaps sell for around $10 or more
