I am trying to start a target server on the MPC860 board from motorola. But I get some errors while trying to do so:

==============================
Checking License ...OK
    Connecting to target agent... succeeded.
    Attaching C++ interface... succeeded.
    Attaching elf OMF reader for PPC CPU family... succeeded.
    Warning: Target checksum: 0x9133 (computed from 0x10000 to 0xe8f98).
             Host checksum: 0x790f (computed from 0x1300020 to 0x13d8fb8).
    Warning: Core file checksums do not match.
    Error: Cannot get target toolname (symbol error)
===============================

Could someone please give me pointers on this? Thank you so much!

Hi,

Most probably you might hv figured out what the problem is by now....

I am stuck up with the same problem today and I figured out that the All Symbols have to be checked in corefile and symbol settings while launching the target server. Also I enabled synchronizing the target and host symbol tables. The error is gone after this....

Adding these two cents of info for the benefit of other guys who may encounter the same problem later...

Thanks,
Pratap.
