I am getting my belly button pierced this afternoon and I wanted to know if certain perfumes, body sprays, or scented soaps are harmful when they come in contact with that area?  Also, would certain laundry soaps or products irritate it or does it just depend on how sensitive your skin is?

hey
i got my bellybutton pierced in march and one thing i noticed is that once you put a barbell through it then it will feel a lot better. It was painful but worth it and some salons say don't use rubbing alcohol and peroxide LISTEN TO THEM!!! I had a friend (she got hers pierced with me) who did and hers got so infested she had to take it out. Use sea salt (you can buy it at any drug store. Another thing don't swim for at least 4 weeks, the chlorine will dry it out. Anyways just some helpful hints and i actually have a question too. I got my trequs pierced and a part of my cartilage too and they bleed when i put the cream on them and like move them and stuff. Also its really hard to move them, the cartilage is really tight. Is that normal? Answer please
Thanks
