As a Quaker, I have never heard of us drinking Gin after a funeral. It's not a practice that is known (as far as I am aware) in Britain, although I cannot account for the American Quakers!! I can only guess that who ever told you is making reference to a time when Quakers produced Gin - (They pulled out from Gin production when they realised the damage that it caused, leading to the temperance movement)It may be a throwback reference to this?
