I have the left side of my lip pierced. Ive had it for quite awhile and really want to get the other side done... the only catch- my job. I have to wear a retainer at work. Can you wear a retainer in a newly pierced lip? Ill have about a week off before Id have to put a retainer in it.. but i don't want to go through the trouble of getting my lip pierced and then having to get rid of it days later. I had  very minimal swelling and healed very quickly when i got the first lip piercing if that makes a difference- and I'm anal about taking care of it/ cleaning etc- and i don't have any irritation from changing between retainer and jewelry. thanks
