How do I find if I need to run 110 or 220 volt for my existing underground water well pump ? When I had a new modular home put in, in place of my old trailer home, due to local code, I had to hookup to the local water system. The old panel, with breakers, etc., that ran to the old well pump, was tossed by the construction company, and I had to dig up the ground near the old well, to find the wiring. I tried hooking it up to 110, and the pump works on 110, but I am worried that if 110 is not enough power, and 220 is needed, than the pump may eventually burn out ? It is only to be used for my lawn, and outside use. How do I find out ?
