We have an Au Pair from Brazil who is here on a j1 student/work visa.  Her year is up in July and she would like to remain here as a student for an addition year.  In exchange for me paying for her college and living at my home, she will watch my children 20 - 30 hours per week.

Is there a way I can help her either extend her current visa or convert it to a work or student visa.  We prefer not to use the Au Pair agency.  We both will have fulfilled our obligations to the agency and are merely looking for ways to keep our current arrangement.
