my car came with alarm system and this piece a crap is acting crazy recently.

First off, remote control do not work, even after replacing to new battery. Because of that, siren goes off whenever i opened the door. Also, alarm system locked up the engine. I can not even start my car or even do anything.....

Any good suggestions

Hello, For the Rav 4 alarm system, see your local Toyota dealer.
For the one with the peice of crap alarm, it probably isn't a peice of crap. The transmitter/remote is what controls the actuall alarm. Using a key to open the door sets the alarm off because the brain of the alarm picks up on a door being opened without the transmitter disarming first.
If you know the brand of the alarm, search it through google and look for accessories on it, or go to a car shop that specialise in car alarms and see what remotes they have that you can purchase for your alarm.
If the alarm later on appears to actually be a piece of crap, upgrade to a better one.
The most affordable, yet one of the very best alarms are Hornet. www.directed.com and look at their alarms, central locking, audio and accessories.
I hope I am not too late.
Good Luck!
Kyle.

Here is another question that has me stumped.  Sometimes the chirps and the alarm itself cannot be heard, even if it is set off.  The lights flash but no sound.  This happens more often when the weather is colder and I haven't driven for a while.  The dealership replaced the Control Unit, and same problem.  Its a Premier Defense 2 system.  Any ideas?

My car alarm goes off for no reason, so do some of my neighbors.  I live in an apartment complex and can truthfully say that the only thing a car alarm is good for is to annoy people within hearing distance.  Why can't we disconnect the worthless pieces of crap?  Just another rip-off scam.
