My question was about the SAS.  Is this like a heart murmor?  We had a 9 month old puppy to die recently and I took her to the vet whenever her shots were do.  She was current on everything.  They never found anything wrong with her.  We did notice that it had appeared that she had lost a lot of weight when we returned from a week long vacation.  She never seemed to put the weight back on.  She always played, ate, drank, and acted normal the entire time so I just assumed that maybe she was out of her puppy stage and was at her max weight.  She died 2 weeks after we returned from our vacation.  My husband had fed her that morning and I watched her eat everything and play with him normally that morning.  When we came home from work we found her.  It also appeared that she had been there awhile.  What would make her act normal and 1-2 hours later drop like that?  I have a 2 year old son who is missing her greatly, if anyone has any solutions, we'd greatly appreciate it.  Thank you.

I am so sorry to hear about your dog.  I can imagine you must be heart broken. :-(

Who did you leave her with while you were on vacation?  She must have gotten into something that she shouldn'thave while you were away. Or she wasn't properly cared for while you were gone.  Did she see the vet when you returned from vacation?  Did you talk to vet about the situation afterward?  I'm sure they could shed some light on what the cause may have been.  Healthy dogs just don't die suddenly.  And if a dog looses a great deal of weight in a week they medical attention right away.
