I am connecting a gfci for a spa to a 2-pole 40 amp circuit...

I am connecting a gfci for a spa to a 2-pole 40 amp circuit breaker.  I know the white wire connects to the neutral bar, the copper wire to the ground bar.  Is there any difference in how (in what order)the red and black leads should attach to the 2-pole circuit breaker?
