Every child is different.  I nursed my child for 22 months.  However, when he was four months old, he wasn't getting full from milk alone.  He wanted something more.  So I supplemented nursing with stage 1 baby food.  I only gave him veggies and fruits at first.  I can't remember how long before I gave him meats, but it was quite a while later.

Every child is different. My son is 9 months old and has been eating solids since he was 3 months. He not only eats baby food but everyday food such as toast, baby cookies, vegetables, etc. If you are really concerned talk to your doctor or local health nurse. They will advise you on what is safe.

my son wanted to start solids really early at about 3 months, by 4 months he was having 3 jars a day.  My daughter is 5 months at mo and is not showing any signs, she still gets full on 7 ounces of milk every 5 hours so every baby is different
