I re-shafted an old set of MacGregor PT2 irons which had been cut down for a kid.  I like the feel, but they swing very heavy.  Why?  Can I fix this with weight at the butt end of the club?  My only theory is that they probably originally had leather wrap grips and wood plugs at the ends of the shafts to tack the grips to, so the clubheads were designed to work with the heavier butt weight.  Thanks for any input/advice!

John
