How is doping explained in binary semiconductors? e.g. ZnO can not be made p-type. The chemical potential is said to be the reason for it. Then why is GaAs or GaN have been so successful ?

The whole thing is not as clear as it is for Si.

Doping is not used in binary semiconductors. Use nano-arrangement technique.
