I need some information on parking tickets.  I have just received a notice from a collection agency saying i didn't pay 4 parking tickets in oceanside California in 1999.  i looked on my Department of Motor Vehicles registration from that year, and i had one, and it was paid for when i renewed my registration.  I have received my license and registration up to now with no problems.  What can be done about this?  This was 7 years ago!  i don't have any information whatsoever on these tickets and is there a way i can fight them, or a statute of limitations?  thank you

This is a SCAM!
They probably got your name via some sort of DMV data base - may be even an employee!

Don't pay a single dime! Instead, forward the letter to your local DA's office.
