i have two dalmations. Brothers and sisters. they are both 2 years old and when i arrived home from work one afternoon they were mating in my backyard. She had her puppies about 1 week ago and two of the puppies are all black. Does anybody know why this is?

Sounds like she just had a couple of mismarked pups. Or did another male get to her? Is there any previous history of this happening in litters of the parents or grandparents of these two dogs?

Mark,
I don't know this for a scientific fact however as they get older they may grow into their spots...give them time.

Well what kind are your dalmations is 1 black and white and the other maybe brown and white or are they both the same colour cause if they are different colours and they mated that would be why they are different even if they are brother and sister unless somethink happened when they were younger and there parents were different kinds of breeds. So were the puppies born where you are or somewhere else.Write Back xxxxxx Sammy
