I have had my belly button pierced for a while now and I've never changed. So I still have the original ring in. How do i get it out. I have the little hoop ring thing and I don't know how to unscrew the little ball. I was wondering if anyone knew how. Is there a trick to it or anything?

i have the same kind of ring & ive asked around abt how to remove it also & pretty much everyone has told me that there are special pliers used to remove it. the ball doesnt unscrew & has nothing to do w/ the ring. if you're unsure how to do it, go to a piercer & theyll do it. ive heard that if you bring a new ring w/ you that most piercers will change them for free.

The best advice would be to go back to where you got it done and get them to change it.
If you can't get there you need to prise the ring open and pull the ball out gently. It's not screwed in it's kept in by the pressure from the edges of the ring bit.

most belly rings thread though the bottom, which can be difficult as yu cant usually see the bottom hole. the first few times you change it, it may be a matter of poking around a bit until you get the hang of it. The ball on your ring is more than likely not a ball that is unscrewed. most rings have a 'captive bead' which clicks in and out. This may also take some time to get used to doing.

Well its a little late so this information might be unnecessary.

It is very simple to change the jewelry.  Get a pair of pliers, stick it in the middle of the ring and expand.  The ball should call out and you can remove the jewelry.

you have to open the ring up to pop the ball out.
it's called a captive bead ring.

u dont unscrew it u have to pull the ring apart slightly and the ball should just fall off make sure u catch the ball or else it will go on the floor!

Since it is your first time changing it, you should have your piercer change it for you.

well all you have to do really is basically sit there for a while and unscrew it.........it takes a while cause it has been in so long and the ball has not moved thats why it is hard........but yeah just try it and see if it works thats what i had to do! lol
