Hi, My name is Clark I'm 14 turning 15 in December my parents hates piercing the reason they hate it is because of the scar it leves. So i wanted to know is the scar noticeable say if you took it out for a year and a half. Thanx to you all \m/rock on\m/ Clark

thing is you havent told us wat piercing you want cos sum piercings dnt leave any scars !

It depends on the piercing, some facial piercings can seem more noticeable. Most of the time, the needle that is used in the piercing process is VERY sharp and actually cuts out the little bit of skin at the piercing site, so the scar will be a very clean heal if you decide to take it out. I let my nostril piercing close once and I had a tiny little dot for a scar. I got it repierced, so the scarring is usually very miniscule. Your parents have nothing to worry about. Piercings grow back in. It is MUCH less permanent than a tattoo or modification.

IT DEPENDS ON WHERE THE PIERCING IS, AND RATHER YOU TAKE CARE OF IT OR NOT.

No the scar will not be noticeable as long as you use like neosporin or something.

Well Clark... Umm \m/ rock on too? Why would you want to pierce yourself only for a year and a half? It's something you need to commit yourself to. The scaring depends on the guage, placement, you, and how fast YOU heal. Tell your parents that surface scars (skids knees, for instance) leave worst scars..
