I'm participating in cheer leading this fall and I would like to get my bellybutton pierced this month. (July 11) Would the uniforms irritate the area and screw up the healing process because of how tight it is and how high the skirts are?

I'm in the same situation and i read that u really shouldn't wear tight clothing until it heals but i do all  the time and it didn't bother mine and i got a ring put in so i think you'll be fine.

It's best if you wait untill your'vefinished your cheerleading course cause then maybe it wont get caught on your skirt and mess up the healing process.

No, i am a cheerleader and recently got my bellybutton pierced and the uniforms dont irritae it at all. THe only thing that may irritate your belly button is the cradles and tumbling can sometimes hurt if you twist a wrong way.

i wouldn't get it done because it is illegal to have any piercings in during any games or practices and I'm sure you'll find that out from your coach! and they do check!!! So if i were you, i'd wait til the season was over! Four girls on my squad did that had to take it out and definetly regretted it!

No it should be fine as long as you look after it right and dont knock it around the uniform being tight should not bother it at all.
