My Siberian Husky has a very odd infatuation with licking my fingers.  I am pretty knowledgable of the breed, but I can't figure why she does this and how to get her to stop.

My Huskies always lick my hand when they see it just in case I have a treat there. Your dog may have just made a habit of this behavior too. regardless of why she does it, the main thing is that, before the habit gets worse, it needs to be stopped. She has no idea that you don't like her doing it so first just show her that you disapprove by saying "no." Once she realizes that she isn't supposed to, start punishing her when she does it since it is now disobedience. You could also try putting red pepper or something of the like on your hand. I don't think it'd take very many licks for that habit to stop dead in it's tracks! :) Good luck! Tanisha

Ok i'm only 15 but have a lot of experience with animals. Have you noticed how puppies have a very big tenancy to nibble at your hand? This is something that they just do. This may be the same case with your husky. Don't be to concerned as it may just be a habit which she/he may outgrow. good luck :)
