Buddy testing refers to the design and execution of test cases by a peer ( a person different from the one who coded) in the
same team.

factors to be considered in buddy testing are:
1. the learning curve for the peer to understand the functionality and code,
2. the time line pressure for his own code
3. work priority

Other techniques, like paired programming are also effective and enjoy much wider recognition.
