Get a different Vet!  Seriously, you need a vet that's skilled in the care of toy breeds.  A puppy that small should be fat as a little butterball, not skinny, perhaps he was taken from his mother too early, or was sickly even when born.

I just got my chi this past week. They said he is 6 wks. old.  He started getting so weak that he would just fall over limp.  I took him to the vet and he is also very skinny. They said he was probably taken from mom to soon. They gave me a momma's supplement milk (NEUTA-RAL C) and 2 cans of AD prescription can food, $6.18 total. Make his milk tepid, and his food and offer frequently. They wouldn't treat him until he is 8 wks. old. They said he had fleas bad to be such a little pup. Anyway, he's perking up and he likes for me to hold him covered with a small blanket. I hope this helps!

It is possible that ur puppies didn't get all the nutrients from their mom before u got them, as far as giving ur puppies something to eat; why not try some canned puppy food, and put a little on ur finger,to try to encourage them to eat, or u can boil some ground beef & mix it into some cooked rice, and c if that will work....dichihuahua
