i think that as long as you are accompanied by your parents and they approve of your choice then its fine. if you are over 18 then you dont even need a parent or a guardian!

You dont have to be a certain age i dont think... my parents just talked to the piercer and told them my position( my sister is a nurse AND has her tongue pierced) so they piercer thought that i would be able to get it done. I was  14.. IT DOESN'T HURT AT ALL!!
