My kitten is about 7 weeks old and has a big bump on his behind. He has diarreha and urinates on herself all the time. She runs in the litter box and thinks that she did something, but nothing comes out. Can anyone hlep. I have 7 week old kittens that i found and am fostering, one had the same problem. On a recent trip to the vets, it turned out that she had gotten some poop stuck in her bum, and her anus actually grew over it, causing a infection and the inability to use the litter box correctly. you need to wash his bum quite frequently with a wet cloth to help this infection go away, or at least thats how i was instructed. if it doesnt go away soon though, i would take it to the vet. hope this helps, and dont hesitate to go to the vet, they know best.

i say take the kitten to the vets about the bump and diarrhea! kitten take a while to settle into a new surrounding, they're not going to understand what the litter tray is for. scent is always an important thing for animals aswell... it may be a good idea to collect some of the kitten urine and put it in the litter box. that way the kitten may understand by using her nose! hope this helps!.

Your kitty is suffering from a prolapse, the "bump" on her behind will eventually pop out revealing her colon, this can be treated with a vets care, most likely the kitten has parasites in her intestines, and this is curable.
