As a immigrant married to a us citizen, how long do I have to wait, before I qualify to work in the U.S?!

Once you apply to become a permanent resident you must also submit the employment authorization form. You can submit these applications immediately. You must wait for their response. Once approved as resident, your residency will be "conditional" for the next two years.

I just have a question. Me and my fiance would like to get married in february he will be here for 6 years we have a child together and we was looking to get married. He is a permanent resident but he wants to get his us citizen ship. We do not have the money for him to take the test. Which he would pass i know. But my question would be if we was to get married how would that work with citizen ship???? anyone could get back to me at my email address please at feliciaabrahams@yahoo.com
