Go to a fairly reputable piercing studio and become an apprentice. This is pretty much an piercing assisstant, where you will learn safety, hygeine, etc... You are normally required to do this for around 6 months to a year. It's also good to take health courses and possibly an anatomy course. These are offered at Red Cross associations and places like YMCA. Good luck!

I also have wanted to become a piercer for a long time. But there is nothing I can think of to do or go to, besides just researching all the piercings I can think of and learning all there is to know about them. I think that is what I will do for now. But I live in Moncton NewBrunswick Canada. If anyone can tell me what to do or any advice, please do. Signed, xPierced_Goddessx  MSN: xpierced_goddessx@hotmail.com

Hey there Blue Gecko! Well all I can say is that you're not alone. Currently I am doing a hairdressing apprenticeship, but really think piercing and body-art is my calling! I am hot on the trail of who and where to go to for qualifications re:piercing, etc... I am yet to find an all-inclusive course, however there are plenty of things you can do to get on the right track.... klelcoate@hotmail.com if u wanna chat on msn about it!

nice answer jules(asshole), anyway. you need to find a piercer whom you know and trust. he or she will either put you on the right path or even go as far as apprenticing you and helping you with any tests or licensing. good luck.
