I've been receiving calls late at night for the last few weeks where the person calling hangs up after a few moments of me saying "hello?"

The thing that strikes me as odd is that their number is displayed on my caller id (I would assume that a crank caller would block their number).  Initially, I thought nothing of it - chalking it up to a wrong number - but after it kept happening, I called the number back, but got no answer, or voice-mail.

I then performed a reverse lookup search on superpages but it came back with no results.  Upon further attempts using other on-line white-pages, it turns out that the number is a cell phone and I later discovered that 'normal' sites like superpages do not perform reverse lookups on cells.

Therefore, my question is: Are there any other ways (aside from contacting the phone company or enlisting the help of a private investigator - not sure that this warrants going to that extent) to perform a reverse-lookup on a cell phone number?

I've come across numerous sites that advertise their ability to do so, but they all require a prince's ransom in return!  Are there any free resources on-line that I could try?

I appreciate any help or advice.

-Dani.
