SOMEONE GAVE US A CHI' WE HAVE NO IDEA HOW OLD SHE IS BUT WE'VE HAD HER ABOUT 2 WEEKS AND THINK SHE MAY
BE IN HEAT, A STRAY DOG HAS BEEN COMING INTO THE YARD AND THEY HAVE GOTTEN STUCK, NOW WE KEEP THAT DOG AWAY, IS IT TOO LATE?CAN THEY GET PREGNANT ON THE FIRST TRY?

Oh, yes, once is enough!  Take the dog to the vet right away.  If she is indeed pregnant, the vet can perform an early abortion and spay her at the same time.  

Depending on the size of the stray, your dog could be in serious danger trying to whelp, and chihuahuas have more problems than other breeds anyway due to their small size.

Even if she isn't pregnant, having her spayed is the kindest thing, that way she isn't tormented during her heat cycles because she can't get any 'satisfaction' and you won't be bothered by stray dogs hanging around.

I'm also going to recommend getting the book Chihuahuas for Dummies, which is the best book I have on the care and maintenance of these adorable creatures.
