Another ear question for you. (pics inside) :) . So, i just got my female chihuahua a week ago and we are getting along great! She turned 2 months old today, but her ears are flopped down. Here are some pics of her to see what i mean:

http://www.toocreative.com/test/jazz/

anyway, i'vealready read that i should wait a bit longer but what i wanna know is if the ears will stand up all of a sudden or will it be a slow proccess?
They are really soft right now, as if it's just loose skin. Is there any hope or will i be the proud owner of a 'rare' flopped-ear chi?

Another question i have is that sometimes when she is sleeping she is having these 'spams' in the stomach. It lasts for a couple of secs and the it stops. Is it something i should worry about?

Also, check her pics and let me know if she look ok to you, her proportions and all.

Many thanks in advance.

Oh, she's adorable!  You've obviously looked at other questions in the FAQ, which is great.  If I remember correctly, both my girls the ears were down and one day Poof,  they were up!  You can encourage the ears to perk up by massaging them gently back and forth.  She looks just fine, nice and chubby.

As for flutters in her tummy when she's sleeping, she may be dreaming or it's the normal digestive process.  I wouldn't worry about it, but you might want to mention it to your vet when she goes in for her next round of shots.

If you haven't already, please consider getting the book Chihuahuas for Dummies.  I still refer to it myself after years of chi ownership.  And of course, please consider having your darling spayed.

Kirk your puppy Jazz is socute!!! She is adorable and her color and natural markings are so different from my little chihuahua. The markings remind me of a doberman or a rottwielder. As far as ears go my little Chalupa began sporting the "trendy" one ear up one ear down look briefly. Then all of a sudden her ears stood up all the time. It does seem to happen overnight.Take care:)

You'rpupp will be just fine and her ear's will eventually pirk up so don't worry but If your not quit sure massage her ear's beck and forth that will help them to be extra perky.
