I want to visit a family member in Newcastle, but I'm having difficulties finding ways to get there cheaply. I would like to spend a day with them, but it will take me a day to get there; visa versa. I would like to know the best way for a 16 year old to get from Rainham train station (KENT) to Newcastle. I already know that I have to go to London Victoria then to Kings Cross which will get me either a bus or a train all the way, but I do not know the expense or whether there is a better option. I don't wish to fly. Please could someone tell me how to get there also? Thank you.
