I have a female Great Dane that is a little over 1 year old.  She has had diarrhea for a few days now...I think she ate a bird.  Is there anything that I can give her that will make the diarrhea go away without having to take her to the vet?  Please help, she's staining my carpet & making my house stink!

i have read that you can give a dog the same amount of pepto that you would give to a child of the same weight.  but like anything else more is not better so becareful to not overdose them.  if it continues, i would take them to the vet and they can give you a medicine that has 125mg of albon in it.  i am not sure the name of the meds but i had to take mine in for the same thing and it worked for him.
