my 4 year old choc Labrador has been on heat for a long period of time an has been showing signs of phantom pregnancies what should i do

You don't have to do any thing. Phantom pregnancy is not a medical disorder and very rarely does any harm. Just wait for her to stop showing signs and everything will go back to normal. By the way, how do you know it's phantom pregnancy and not real? The signs are the same.

I too have a golden Lab, who We think maybe having a Phantom pregnancy. She was mated 7 weeks ago tomorrow but the vet could'nt recognise any lumps at the required time for checking i.e. 3 weeks after mating. In the last few days she has started stealing food (unheard of before!) drinking lots ,her teats are almost dragging on the ground and her girth has increased in size by 5 inches.she has milk in her teats and i feel she is having a litter. Obviously we shall soon find out!!! any advice anyone??
