have you got enough time to stay home and really look after your dog? if you do then you can take your lab out every half an hour, when he wakes up and after he has eaten. that way your dog will get used to going outside and once he gets into the habit of doing that he should be fine.

i am just the opposite of you i got a black lab first  who who extremely quick to house train and obedience train and then i got a yellow lab who is the complete opposite but is now house trained but the obedience is at a stand still  the only thing i can think of is that the new pups are easily distraccted with their new dog friends
