You need to be 18 or have a parent/guardian present. Make sure you go to a reputable place. Ask your friends whose piercings you admire where they got them done, and the name of their piercer. Alternatively, check out a few different places. Ask for price estimates, and observe the parlor. Make sure that they are operating under license, that the studio itself is clean, that the piercer uses "single-use" needles (these are higher quality than "disposable" needles), and that everything is sterilized or in a sterile seal prior to use. The piercer should also be able to discuss aftercare with you. Remember not to let a piercer persuade you to do something you do not feel comfortable doing. If the situation is sketch, leave. Better to be paranoid that have a nasty, inflamed, pussing, rejected piercing. I myself have 3 body piercings in addition to my ear piercings, and a tattoo, and I've had wonderful experiences with all my piercers and my artist.

I run an on-line group from the UK and I was wondering what the age restrictions are for different types of nudity in such a group as people have a tendency to post nude pictures. I have a feeling its 16 for Breasts, 18 for nudity and sexual images. Is this correct?

My parents think that my belly button pierced would look "trashy" and I'm only 16. Do you know if there is any place in Hanover or someplace close that will pierce my belly button w/out my parents?? If not, anyone have any good arguments that I can use??

you have to be any age under 18 so 17 and younger and get whatever pierced with parent consent and 18 and older to do it by yourself

I think that you just need to go for it,at the end of the day,most body piercings you cant even see so you can cover them up if they get infected or gross!!!

You don`t have to be 18. I live in West Virginia, but I went to Oakland to get my tongue pierced when I was 14. I am 15 now and I just recently got my first tattoo.

If you are not old enough you could always just do it yourself, or get your friend/sibling to do it for you. Wash and sterilise a needle by boiling or putting Dettol it. numb your ear or where ever by drinking maybe, or not. Hold an ice cube at the back of your ear and send the needle through. Just make sure everything is sterile and it should be fine. then just follow the normal procedure afterwards.

lol who needs a peircing joint. do it yourself. just make sure u sterilize everything and keep it clean or it might get infected. its not a big deal just make the peircing quick and simple to avoid wincing from pain. the faster you do it the less it hurts.
