I am a co owner on my ex-husbands truck. Our divorce is not finale until August. I want to take my name off and sign a release of liability so that I can stop worrying about him not paying for the insurance, ands I don't want to pay for it. Because we live in a community property state, am I still liable if he drops his insurance and gets into an accident? Escecially if I have taken my name off the truck, insurance and signed a release of liability?
