Well, It depends.

This is one of those characteristics that will be greatly affected by the breeding of the particular dog in question. If the dogs lineage leans toward field breeding you'll have a hard time keeping the dog out of the water. If the lineage leans toward conformation breeding you may have a difficult time getting the dog into the water.

Goldens Love water  get your puppy a small swimming pool and sit back and watch the fun

They might like water on and off, or every now and then.
