Do golden retrievers like water?

Well, It depends. This is one of those characteristics that will be greatly affected by the breeding of the particular dog in question. If the dogs lineage leans toward field breeding you'll have a hard time keeping the dog out of the water. If the lineage leans toward conformation breeding you may have a difficult time getting the dog into the water.
