After my shower I take cotton soaked in alcohol and rub on them.  Then I spray them with solarcaine to relieve the itch.  I also take a little bit of water and lavender oil and rub in my hair to repel them.

This is the only thing that works for me. place a washcloth that's been soaked with scalding hot water--as hot as your skin can stand.  Hold it over the itchy spots for about 30 seconds.  The itching will be stopped for several hours.  Also works great for mosquito bites and poison ivy.

take 1 cup corn startch 1 half cup of water and about 1 half cup of salt and mix over a heated flame..it should become jelly like...put in refridgerator and put on bite. it works best when the bite has been itched and has an opening.

Comment:

I do not own a pet however my home is envaded with fleas and I believe that's because of all the lose / homeless cats running around the apartment complex.

My family and I have been batteling these criters for about a month & 1/2 now and I'm really sick and tired of these blood sucking fleas literally eating us alive.

I just fogged the apartment yesterday with 3 of those maxium strength raid foggers, I placed 1 in both bedrooms and 1 in the living room - Then I went to the dollar store and purchased a $2.00 can of insect spray and sprayed my whole carpet all over.  But tonight I yet have gotten bitten again of the foot.  I told my landlord about the problem and he is going to send out a pest control to spray the apartments, because I know that it is going to take at least 3 treatments to rid of these pesty critters.

The top of my feet, ankles and legs looks like a nutty bar.  I have been washing my feet and legs with bleach water to relieve the itching at night, and I also bought me a bottle of Sergeant dog flea & tick spray - to spray my feet & legs down with, I also keep misquito spray on my feet and legs throughout the day to keep the fleas from bitting me.

Bed time is the worst for me, because that is when the itching really gets intense, I keep an hairbrush at the head of my bed at night to scratch with, I literally dig into my flesh with the hairbrush and or my nails becasue the itching is so unbearable.
I've tried eating as much garlic as I possible can, I cook with, eat and breath garlic as a defense but that doesn't help (Ha-ha)
I don't know what else to do, Please help! I'm all up for suggestions.
