greyhounds love water but they sometimes may be scared at first. slowly get them close to the water let them check it out first. being that a greyhound is use to a cage make sure when taking out your dog you let them look around and keep a tight hold off the lease in case he or she is frighting. so it doesn'treally matter were the dog is. in a big town or small

My greyhound trotted briskly onto the surface of a weed -covered canal thinking it was grass - she did not take kindly to this. Also she would never drink water when I first had her -I put it in her food instead - Now she has seen my other dogs drinking she does drink herself. A lot of her experiences with us were brand new - she was a rescue dog used to kennels until aged 4
