I had the same problem, it took me 2 years to get it fixed here in Brazil. I´ll try to find out what was done.

It's probably the flyback transformer and associated diodes in the same circuit. It's an easy repair if you know how to solder. I had the same problem and fixed it myself. Check the web forums for more details, they are definitely a lot of posts on this problem.

Dear Ruth i'm also lost in ZENITH LAND i have the same problem that you seem to have and i can't find anyone to answer it RIGHT either. what i would like to have someone do is show me a picture (maybe by way of a digital cam) of the problem area on the board?? and show me what to solder or what to order or what to SHOOT!!!!! you know what i mean ???? LOL just kidding around... please write me back Ruth with any kind of help that you can give.. i will be sitting here trying to figure out just what the people on the tv programe i'm watching REALLY WOULD LOOK LIKE. thanks again Jeff

I have a Pioneer projection TV manufactured date January 1992 Model#SDP4553 When I plug it in it makes a clicking noise If i unplug it and plug it back in like 20 times it will turn on but every time unplug it and plug it back in it makes the clicking noise
