Where did your hear that?  First of all, the ink doesn't give out UV rays.  UV rays are found in light, specifically sun light and black light.  What this does is simply absorbs  then re-releases the light, which makes it look like it is glowing.  Also note that this ink doesn't glow in the dark.  This new type of ink (if gotten at the right place, such as www.blacklightink) is said to be safer than regular tattoo inks cause it has a bubble of a certain kind of material used in everything from dental procedures to fake hips.  Seems completely safe, but the 'horror stories' surrounding it seem to be mostly of extreme itching and fading after 2-5 years.

as far as i know most inks arent even regulated by any goverment agency(i could be wrong). i dont think it would, but id do more research on the acutal chemicals used in making the ink, then make a decision on whether on not to get one done.

There are no UV rays in the ink, idiot.  UV rays are part of the light spectrum so if there is no light there is no UV.  there is phosphorescense in the ink which makes it glow under a black light, but UV cannot exist in ink.  it is light and you cannot tatoo yourself with light

Some inks are dangerous because they contain phosphorous, but there is a company out that has FDA approved ink, and they have been approved with no side effects for ten years. Look for someone who carries Chameleon Blacklight Ink. its the safest
